Intermediate Hurling League versus Tracton 31/03/13

Newcestown Intermediate hurlers travelled to Minane Bridge on Sunday to take on Tracton in their second outing of this year’s league. The game was played at 12 in horrendous weather conditions of wind and rain. Newcestown played with the wind in first half with Sean Ryan scoring a goal and point and Eoin Kelly getting 5 points with 4 from frees. Newcestown led 1:06 to 0:02 at half time

Tracton began the second half by scoring a goal in first minute of play. Newecestown responded with as point from Daniel Twomey, 3 frees from Eoin Kelly, a point from Fionn Keane and a goal from Luke Meade. Tracton added 2 further points to leave fulltime score at Newcestown 2;11 to Tracton 1 ;4
