Minor Football Championship vs Kilmeen

Newcestown minor footballers have progressed to the semi final of the premier 2 minor football championship following a win over Kilmeen on the evening of September 3 in Cloghduv on a final scoreline of Newcestown 0-17 Kilmeen 0-8.

The first half was close, Kilmeen's mid field caught a lot of high balls from kick outs.
Cathal Clarke made a good save just before half time ensuring that Newcestown went in at half time ahead by three points. The half time score was Newcestown 0-5 Kilmeen 0-2.

Newcestown upped their performance level in the second half and emerged comfortable winners in the end.
